Legacy of Growth, Future of Impact

As a member of corporation board since 2008, I’ve seen our sorority house evolve through the dedication of countless volunteers who’ve been exceptional stewards of our finances and vision for the future. Since this house was constructed in 1958, their efforts have kept it a living heart of our sisterhood. In 1997, we transformed its 1950s ranch-style roots, adding the 'Tech' and 'Upper Study' to the second floor. In 2013, we gutted the dining room and kitchen for better flow, adding a retractable divider between the TV room and dining room to host bigger gatherings. In 2020, we invested $580k into our facility and transformed the basement into a beautiful, functional and useful space. In 2023, we replaced the roof to last another 50 years. And in 2024, we invested $165k into the facility to remodel the upstairs day rooms, refreshed the front walkway, and renovated the house director’s suite.

These milestones reflect decades of care, but our work continues. With the rising cost of everything, we’re affordable, yet we must meet modern demands and amenities. The Crescent and Carnations Capital Campaign builds on this legacy: a house with privacy, comfort, and spaces that spark academic success and leadership, all while holding fast to our values of love, labor, learning and loyalty.

I believe a great facility drives our future. It helps with recruitment and retention, and serves as a point of pride to the alumnae returning home to Moscow. With your support, we’ll carry our legacy forward.
